Product development rarely follows a straight line. Formulation, packaging, cost, manufacturing capabilities, regulation and commercial requirements influence one another throughout the process.
I help founders, designers and established brands navigate that journey, translating ideas into clear development direction and bringing together the right manufacturers and specialists while maintaining oversight of the original product ambition.
CORE ROLE
Product Development Leadership

My role is not simply to find a manufacturer. I work on behalf of the client, helping define what needs to be created, translating that ambition into language development partners can act on, and coordinating the decisions required to move the project forward.
The exact scope varies by project. Some clients need support defining the concept. Others require leadership across formulation development, sampling, packaging, production and delivery.
Every project still begins with three simple questions: Who is it for? Why does it matter? And how should it feel? From there, formulation, packaging and storytelling are balanced so that each element serves both function and commercial intent.
I represent the project, not the factory.

SPØL
A professional styling product developed from concept through production.
A salon owner's ambition for a distinctive professional styling product was translated into a development brief and led through formulation, sampling, packaging and production.
David acted as the client-side development lead, coordinating the client, Swedish laboratory and production partners through approximately 8–10 development rounds to delivery of 5,000 finished units in the Netherlands. The client retained final approval throughout.

The Road Map
From product idea to a development-ready concept.
The Road Map is an optional early-stage engagement for clients with a product idea that is not yet ready for professional development. It turns the concept into a clear Product Concept Brief that potential partners can understand, assess and respond to.
The Road Map stops before the Product Development engagement itself begins. After the brief, clients can continue into a separately scoped Product Development engagement or take the brief independently to development partners.
